From the North West to the South East

I've emptied 2 canisters of film for this post. Again! it's from the cheapy Fujifilm 400 Superia X-TRA that you can conveniently purchase at any general or drug stores. I've decided to journey to the part of Oahu in which i've never ventured into yet. All because i just wanted some Mexican Spiced Corn on a stick that you could only get on the Northwest of the Island aka The Northshore.

This road reminded me of some of the many back roads in Maui. Very Country and surrounded with Meadows and patches of greenery.

Made a pit stop at Haleiwa and ran into these kids Jumping off a bridge. This kid specifically mentioned that he'd only let me take the picture if i wait for the SUPPER's(Stand Up Paddle Boarder's) to pass underneath so that he could surprise them with a nice splash. This looks so damn fun especially during the summer!

This is my favorite spot in Haleiwa. It's some sort of street sign that has various Destinations in which it tells how far away other states and places are from the Northshore.

On my way back to my Car. I caught this on a wall,It's a mural of Robert Nesta Marley. I had to play Guava Jelly, Mellow Mood, and Hammer for the rest of the drive.

After leaving Haleiwa, I noticed a signed that advertised a tourist attraction called "Waimea Falls". I decided to check it out, I just didn't expect the damn entrance fee to be $10 and that's with Kamaaina alone. It was possibly the most un-eventlful hike to a un-interesting Waterfall that was monitored by Lifeguards.

This part of the hike reminded me of a place in the new Planet of The Apes.

Windmills in Kahuku. I tried finding that corn spot around this area and i couldn't get any luck. Not even Yelp could help me...:(

An interesting Victorian esquè home...After i took a pic of that house. It was time to put on another roll, apparently i forgot to bring an extra film. luckily there's a store nearby that carries it in stock.

This spot was also mentioned by the clerk because it was only 3 minutes away. I couldn't pass up and had to check it out.

I'm pretty sure this is the same area where a scene from Forgetting Sarah Marshall was filmed.

Same cliff where Mila Kunis & Jason Segel jumped off at. This shit fucking scary! i don't even know how you'll get back up with the tides and shit

I decided to not take the same way back but instead to just go all the way pass the corner to see what else is out there. I randomly found this memorial of Bernardo Bernard. This dude had the best Switch BS 180 Heelflips, definitely one of Hawaii's best that's past too soon. R.I.P. Nardo!

Shitty Kids X NARDO

Kaawa and the rest of the other towns in this side reminded me of Hana from back home.

This place called "Valley of the Temples" popped up in Google Maps. Saw a shrine in one of the pics so i decided to make it my last stop before heading home.

Byodo-In Temple...it felt like i was in Japan!

I really need to get another roll of Portra again...it's so hard to get sharp details with this film, let alone dealing with the crunchy grain that it provides

Made a trip to Waikiki the other day to get a tapered belt from H&M. Instead of dealing with the parking, I placed my Car in Ala Moana and skated there instead.

Whenever i take the plane back and forth from Oahu to Maui and Vice Versa, This Lagoon always catches my eye from plane's view. I finally made it out there and was fairly disappointed! pretty crowded and definitely looks better from Plane view and pictures...haha!

I went out and bought a 4-Roll Pack of the ever so convenient Fujifilm 400 Superia X-TRA. This film is highly accessible anywhere and pretty much the only 35mm film that's in stock from general stores & gas stations. Film is dead! get with it!

I'm not content with this because the grain is like "Hawaiian Sea-Salt" grain. It's not so coarse and fine like "Kosher Salt" grain that you can get from professional films like the Kodak's Portra series and Fuji Velvia's.

Only useful when there's strangers around. Full-Time Home Security...All around Sass

So my Landlord runs a chinese restaurant somewhere in Oahu. He's so passionate that he got produce & fish stained on our Porch Door.

The Highland's featured low clouds is a must see. I wish they'd get low enough to the houses and streets that'd be an interesting pic.

Twa's fortunate enough to roam around the time of "The Golden Hour". It's the most balanced exposure when it comes to shooting. It's not too highly or underly exposed.

I never know if i'm ever focus while trying to get a close up but this orchid(edit: hibiscus) turned out semi-ok.

Living on the West-Central part of Oahu is such a hassle that you have to constantly plan out and time your commuting. If not, You'll be in bumper to bumper traffic and possibly trapped in gridlocks for some hours....and this is on an island?

I tried to squeeze out a couple more shots in this 24 exposure roll. This is the 26th slot and it ended up overlapping the 25th. It turned out nice just like Dylan's new shoe!

Lost Negatives by Unknown...

I found a sheet of negatives from my old car, In which it don't belong to me at all. I've been procrastinating on scanning them but I'm satisfied at what i've stumbled upon. I'm not sure what it's shot with but the film is "Fujifilm 200".

I've decided to get myself out of photo hiatus and actually put work out again. Well not really but something to keep myself occupied in the field memory imagery. I've recently aquired a Canon Rangefinder...In which i find hard to really focus on due to a "dim" viewfinder.
